The Home for Little Wanderers, Voices & Visions 2015
The theme of this year’s event was “Who Am I?” Belonging, identity, and validation are vital for healthy development especially for youth who have experienced trauma. From early ages and through most of life’s stages many ask themselves this question. For the event, the Home’s youth explore this age-old question through art and writing.
The Voices & Visions Art Exhibit by the children of the Home, plus a Silent Auction & donations surpassed the fundraising goal of $125,000.
In addition to the exhibit, highlights of this special evening included a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, program, and recognition of our special honoree. Voices & Visions 2015 honored Jerry Sargent, President of Citizens Bank and the Sabino Marinella Award was presented to the First Five Graduates from The Home’s Academic Support for Career and Life program; Maria DaSilva, Bianca Fonseca, Melissa Oquendo, Ashley Davenport, Amer Galuak.
